SUMMARY:CIRM VAMMMS Workshop: Variational Analysis, Models and Methods in Measure Spaces
DESCRIPTION:On April 30, 2024 Prof. Enrique Zuazua will talk on “Optimal placement and design of sensors and actuators” at the Variational Analysis, Models and Methods in Measure Spaces workshop organized at CIRM on April 29 to May 3, 2024.\nThe goal of this workshop is to bring together international experts working at the interface between optimal transport, control theory for large-scale systems and their macroscopic approximations, and variational methods for problems formulated in measure spaces. Indeed, a wealth of recent theoretical-and application-oriented findings – notably in the fields of statistical learning, measure relaxations of variational problems and mean-field control – have brought to light new connexions between theses research fields. In this context, we want to contribute to the development of a meetings cycle in order to facilitate the propagation of new ideas and results in these lively domains, as well as to stimulate new collaborations around these topics which are currently investigated by neighbouring communities.\nSPEAKERS\nCharles Bertucci, École polytechnique\nBlanche Buet, Université Paris-Saclay\nPiermarco Cannarsa, University of Rome\nPierre Cardaliaguet, Université Paris Dauphine-PSL\nGiulia Cavagnari, University of Milan\nMax Fathi, Université Paris Cité\nAnna Korba, ENSAE Paris\nMilan Korda, CNRS – LAAS Toulouse\nJean-Bernard Lasserre, CNRS – LAAS Toulouse\nHugo Lavenant, University\nMark Peletier, Eindhoven University of Technology\nGabriel Peyré, CNRS – École Normale Supérieure Paris\nNastassia Pouradier Duteil, INRIA & Sorbonne Université\nDavid Poyato, University of Granada\nFrancesco Rossi, University of Padova\nFilippo Santambrogio, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1\nAlessandro Scagliotti, Technical University of Munich\nGiacomo Sodini, Université of Vienna\nClaudia Totzeck, University of Wuppertal\nFrançois-Xavier Vialard, Université Gustave Eiffel\nEnrique Zuazua, FAU Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg\nWHEN\nTue.
