Title: Control and regularity for non-local transport equations

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Francesco Rossi
Affiliation: Università di Padova (Italy)

Abstract. This talk focuses on some control problems related to non-local transport equations, which arise in modeling several multi-agent systems (pedestrians, animals, opinions on a network…). I will first point out the specific difficulties for controlling such systems, at least in two directions:
– for controllability, the reachable set has a strange structure
– for optimal control, one needs some (intrinsic) regularity of the optimal control to ensure well-posedness of the solution.

In both cases, regularity of both the data and the control play a major role.
By presenting my joint works with B. Bonnet, M. Duprez, M. Morancey, I will show some solutions to such problems.
