Since 1936, every four years, IMU awards mathematicians all over the world with the Fields medal as a recognition for outstanding mathematical achievement for existing work and for the promise of future achievement. This award often called ,the Nobel prize of Mathematics’ is given to two -at least- mathematicians chosen by the Executive Committee of the International Mathematical Union, at the International Congress of Mathematicians.

Congratulations to our colleagues!
