Miren Arretxe

Team Manager

I am Miren Arretxe, Team Manager at the Chair for Dynamics, Control and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship headed by Prof. Enrique Zuazua.

I got my MSc in Water Research Management and PhD in Ecotoxicology in Napier University in coordination with former East of Scotland Water (Edinburgh, Scotland).

I have developed most of my professional career on the environmental field covering different aspects such as the development of implementation methodology to comply with environmental regulatory procedures, simplification tools and expert assistance for European funding programs, like the ERC Advanced Grant DyCon: Dynamic Control project at University of Deusto where I lead administrative and team managerial tasks since 2016.

I am very interested in developing and implementing effective methodology to transfer scientific knowledge to applied scenarios. Seriously believe that this challenge should be reached based on team expert knowledge. All team members have a significant contribution to common challenges.

Uniform Turnpike Property 1 Introduction In this post, we analyze a heat equation with rapidly oscillating coefficients dependent on a parameter , with a distributed control. We show that the uniform null controllability implies the uniform turnpike property, i.e., the turnpike property with constants independent of […]
Nonlinear hyperbolic systems: Modeling, controllabiliy and applications The control theory of hyperbolic systems is an important topic in continuum and fluid mechanics. Kinetic theory of Bose Einstein Condensates If a dilute gas of bosons, about one-hundred-thousandth the density of normal air, is cooled to a temperature very close to absolute zero (0 K or -273.15C), the gas will be changed into a new state of matter, called Bose-Einstein […]
