Title: Some aspects of cross diffusion equations

Abstract. Cross diffusion systems are made of coupled parabolic equations and appear in fluid mechanics as well as population dynamics. Their specificity lies in the fact that the diffusion coefficient for an unknown depends on the value of another unknown (hence the denomination „cross“ diffusion). We propose to present recent improvements in the theory of cross diffusion systems coming out of population dynamics, and to discuss the modeling as well as the theoretical results.
