Byungjoon Lee was born in Ulsan, Korea, in 1985. He received the B.S. in the Department of Mathematics from Seoul National University in 2009, and obtained a PhD from the same university in 2015. He was a postdoc at the Research Institute of Mathematics at Seoul National University during 2015-2018, and an associate professor at the Catholic University of Korea, Korea, since 2018.

His main research areas include computational fluid dynamics, multiphase flows, finite difference methods, and mathematical optimization, etc. He published 17 papers in applied mathematics and computational physics journals.

He is a recipient of POSCO TJ Park’s fellowship, which is one of the honorable fellowships, in 2018.
