Hi! My name is Antonio Álvarez López. I am a PhD student at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid on Control Theory and Machine Learning, under the supervision of Prof. Enrique Zuazua and Prof. Rafael Orive.

I studied a double degree in Mathematics and Physics at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, in my hometown, between 2016 and 2021. I spent the 2019/2020 academic course at Universidad de Granada as an exchange student. I got my Master’s degree in Advanced Mathematics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid for the 2021/2022 academic year with a focus on PDEs, Calculus of Variations and Control Theory.

I worked during this year on Fluid Mechanics and MHD under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Enciso Carrasco. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed studying different areas of Mathematics, but my personal goal now is expertising on Control Theory and Machine Learning, disciplines that I find exciting and which appear to show many promising lines of research at their interface.
