The FAU Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship (FAU DCN-AvH) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg is looking for Postdoctoral researchers with an interest in areas involving or related to partial differential equations, numerical and data analysis, stochastic optimisation, control theory or scientific computing.

Profile
The chosen postdoc researcher will carry out mathematical and/or computational research on some of the main scientific priorities of the Chair in a multidisciplinary and international environment with excellent facilities and world-wide academic and industrial-technological network at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany).
Candidates are expected to have proven their skills in interdisciplinary cooperation and become actively involved in the newly established FAU MoD, Researcher Center for Mathematics of Data.

Qualification
-PhD on Mathematics or similar, Physics, Engineering, or closely related areas, with emphasis on Partial Differential Equations, Control theory, Numerical Analysis and/or Scientific Computing.
-Experience: Publications on PDEs, numerical analysis, Control and Machine Learning, reference/recommendation letters
-Interdisciplinary and collaborative work
-Good written English skills
-Driven, independent personality
Successful candidates is expected to demonstrate initial academic achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international standards.
