I am Dr. Samin Malik, and I am currently a PhD assistant professor of Mathematics at ADA University, Baku, Azerbaijan.
I am a visiting scientist at FAU DCN-AvH, the Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Bavaria (Germany).
I did my Bachelor’s degree of Mathematics at Baku State University, Baku, Azerbaijan, and Master’s degree of Pure Math and Mathematical Logic at the University of Manchester, UK.
My PhD dissertation topic is Necessary optimality conditions in the system with some delay in optimal control problems (2019, IMM – Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Azerbaijan)
Starting from the PhD years (2016 – 2019), we with my supervisor and some other local professors have more than 10 academic papers published in high indexed international academic journals.
We as a team of Optimal Control researchers in Azerbaijan continue to do research and submit papers in academics journals.
My very last paper called Necessary Optimality conditions for a new type of singular controls in optimal control problems and published in International Journal of Control.
In this paper, we obtained new necessary conditions. But application of these conditions becomes more complex when applied more challenging problems.
It is required to apply the numerical methods to solve the problem based on these necessary conditions.
Research interests
My research interests include Optimal control problem
