Hi, I am Theïlo Terrisse, an intern at the Chair for Dynamics, Control and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship at FAU, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.

I am from Ponts ParisTech, an engineering school near Marne-la-Vallée in France. This 6-month internship at FAU is part of a gap year between the 2nd and 3rd years of engineering school (corresponding to Master 1 and 2) and it will give me a first relevant experience in research. I’ll be working on Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations and their relevance for reinforcement learning, which will be the opportunity to widen my mostly operation research- and machine learning-centered background.
