NADu22: Analysis, PDEs and Applications celebrating 60th anniversary of professor Nenad Antonić
On June 19th- 25th, 2022 our Head Prof. Enrique Zuazua will talk as a plenary speaker at the NADu22 a conference on “Analysis, PDEs and Applications celebrating the 60th anniversary of professor Nenad Antonić” organized in Dubrovnik, Croatia organised jointly by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Osijek and University of Zagreb, Croatian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (CRO-MATH-IN) and the Croatian Science Foundation under projects UIP-2017-05-7249, IP-2018-01-2449, IP-2018-01-3706, IP-2018-01-8904.
Professor Antonić obtained his PhD degree at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, after which he returned to Zagreb in the early 1990s. With acquired knowledge he enriched the further development of the Division of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. His distinctive scientific style is directed towards the study of partial differential equations and associated models from continuum mechanics. Some problems and methods he studies, which are addressed as the main topics of the conference, consist of homogenisation theory, optimisation and optimal design, equations of mixed type, hyperbolic conservation laws, modelling of fluids and elastic materials, micro-local and functional analysis.
