CMAI colloquium – Turnpike Control and Deep Learning by E. Zuazua

This friday August 28th, our Head Enrique Zuazua will open the CMAI colloquium Fall 2020 with the first session “Turnpike Control and Deep Learning”, a lecture based on joint work with Carlos Esteve, Borjan Geshkovski and Dario Pighin, team members at CCM Deusto.

This lecture by Enrique Zuazua presents the turnpike principle asserts that in long time horizons optimal control strategies are nearly of a steady state nature. In this lecture we shall survey on some recent results on this topic and present some its consequences on deep supervised learning.

This colloquium organized by CMAI – Center for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence has a complete schedule for this fall.
