Title: Some observations on the turnpike property and optimal actuator design

Abstract. The turnpike property in optimal control and optimal actuator design are by now established topics in mathematical control theory. But the existing theory on both subjects only provides partial answers to the fundamental questions.
I’ll give new perspectives of both topics which has led (and may further lead) to new developments.
