My name is Christian Lange and I am a PhD student of Prof. Hannes Meinlschmidt with the topic “Renormalized solutions in optimal control” at FAU DCN-AvH, the Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Bavaria (Germany).
The aim is to consider optimal control problems where the technique of renormalized solutions is needed, either to show uniqueness or even to define solutions. The project is funded by “Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst”.
Thus my main research interest are optimal control problems with a focus on the analytical side of the topic.
Before my PhD-project I also did my Bachelor and Master at FAU, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
• Master Thesis: The Fokker-Planck equation with BV drift coefficients (September 2023)
