Hi, I’m Martin Gugat from Germany. I got my Bachelor and Doctor degrees in Mathematics from RWTH Aachen, Nordrhein-Westfalen (1990). I got promoted at Universität Trier, Rheinland-Pfalz, DE as scientific assistant (1990-2000), Habilitation Angewandte Mathematik (1994-1999) and Dr. rer. nat. (1990-1994).
I worked at Technische Universität Darmstadt (2000-2003) and from 2013 to present I am Academic Director at FAU Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Bavaria – Germany.
As Akad. Dir. at the Chair for Dynamics, Control and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg my research interest are Optimal boundary control of hyperbolic systems, boundary feedback stabilization, Optimal Control, Optimization, Uncertainty.

On January 22nd, 2021 I did as examiner of the PhD Committee on the Murad Muradi PhD defense, under the supervision by Prof. Rolf Wanka, about: “Heuristic algorithms for the automatic generation of process-time-optimized robot
programs in the field of multi-robot systems” at Werner-von Siemens lecture hall of the Technical Faculty at FAU Erlangen.
